MY TRAVEL SERVICES
I have lived in Rome for more than a decade and I am passionate about sharing the best of my adopted beautiful chaotic home. I would love to help you make the most of your time in Rome.
You can start here on my blog Gillian’s Lists.
My Instagram account also has lots of saved highlights and a guide section with detailed Rome information like restaurants and interesting sites.
I also have a newsletter where I create exclusive city and neighborhood guides and google maps for paid subscribers.
Pre-trip advice either over email
On arrival coffee/cocktail hour. This is my most popular service. We sit down together as soon as you are settled to have a conversation and make a game plan for your time in Rome.
Informal neighborhood walks. I am not a tour guide (but I can tell you who is), so I don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of the thousands of years of Rome’s history. What I do know is how to find my way through the tiniest cobblestoned streets, the best place for a plate of Amatriciana, and where to find the coldest granita di caffè on a hot afternoon. We can walk for a few hours or the entire day.
If you would like something more personalized a few things I can offer are;
Pre-trip advice either over email
or
a Zoom/WhatsApp/Facetime/Skype call.
For example, if you have questions about neighborhoods, distances between things, must-reserve sites, and restaurants. I can answer them.
Two PDF documents These are filled with my personal recommendations on unusual sites to see, and places to eat, drink and shop. I also know some of the city's best private guides and small group tours who can help you dive deep into a specific interest.

Other Italian Destinations
I also can help with trips to Venice, another exasperating gorgeous city I am hopelessly addicted to.
I know the Amalfi Coast quite well but spend more of my time on the islands of Ponza and Capri these days and highly recommend that you do too.
