Juice Bars in Rome - Part 2
How are those New Years healthy eating resolutions going? After a trip to Paris and a few weeks of Carnevale treats I am ready for some crunchy salads and vitamin packed juice. I hate the phrase "eating clean" but I just realized that bikini season will be here in a a little more than six weeks. In the name of research and my waistline, here are two more places to supplement your pasta and pizza eating.
At Active Natural Eating
Piazza di Pietra 62
Ignore/look past the unwieldy name and head straight for the prepared soups, salads, fruit cups for a quick easy lunch. At the counter you can order cold pressed juice, fruit smoothies, and my favorite Ponza snack tielle filled with escarole. There is American style coffee, with free refills and a copy of the latest issue of the International New York Times for you to read while you enjoy the great music playing.

Open everyday 9:30-20:30
Zazie is on a sweet little street I had never noticed before that connects to the MACRO modern art museum. This bright and friendly space offers fresh juices, salads and soups. There are prepackaged dried nuts and fruits to bring home with you. Another plus. Free wifi. For my Instagram pals this spot is worth the trip for a peek inside the nearby Fiat 500 repair shop.
