Midnight Gelato {Capri}

Summer lingers in Italy.  There are still a few evenings left to enjoy before the autumn chill arrives.  A midnight gelato is the perfect way to bid farewell to summer. 

You can smell the enticing aromas from the top of the very elegant via Camerelle.  This historic gelateria and pastry shop make their own cones throughout the day and late into the night.  I love to come here after a long after dinner walk and join the crowds for a midnight gelato. 

There are wonderful regional pastries, including torte caprese a rich chocolate, almond cake and light lemon cookies,  and ready made meals available here too.

There are two locations, one in the center of town and one at the Marina Grande.
