Wine and Music {Al Grammelot + Rome}

I love Rome's enoteche. They are the perfect spot to try out a new glass of wine, have a light or early-ish dinner of cheese and cured meats and sometimes even vegetables. There are a few that serve hot food.

Our regular place is practically at the front door 

After the recent evening at the American Academy we found ourselves wanting not a whole meal but something small.

The nearby Al Grammelot fits all kinds of appetites.

You can come here for a quick glass of something sparkly after a sunset viewing on the Gianicolo, or for a light dinner pf plates of salami and cheese washed down with glasses of regional reds, or stay for full on hearty meal of roast pork or cinghiale stew.

It is also a nice spot for an after dinner digestivo. 
We were there early-ish on a Monday evening, so it was quiet, but I spied a piano in the back and a guitar on the wall and the friendly owner encouraged us to play.  We will definitely be back with the Teenager and for the regular Thursday Jazz Aperitvo.
